Product Detail

The Model HTS-980 MEMS accelerometer is based on the latest piezoresistive MEMS sensing technology components and provides excellent dynamic range and stability. This piezoresistive accelerometer is a rugged, undamped measurement device designed for shock measurements. The built-in etched silicon chip arranges an active four-arm Wheatstone bridge circuit containing an inertial mass and strain gauges. The low mass, extremely small size and unique structure of the device provides a high resonant frequency, while having low impedance, high overload, low phase shift and zero damping. The high resonant frequency of these sensors prevents them from resonating and being damaged by high-frequency signals after high shock pulses, which may damage accelerometers with lower resonant frequencies. The high resonant frequency and zero damping also allow the accelerometer to respond to fast signals and short duration shock wave motion. At the same time, the sensor frequency response can be extended down to static or low frequency acceleration, so the sensor is also ideal for measuring long-term changing signals. The HTS-980 piezoresistive accelerometer adopts a rugged and reliable construction, which greatly reduces the probability of cable wiring and impact damage.
